Back in Hollywood - 2nd July

For the past 2 days we have been back in West Hollywood , off of the end of the strip. We are staying at the Orbit Hostel which, though cheap, is pretty good. The first night we were here we got taken to the San Fernando Valley (the home of the naughty movie industrie) to go to a comedy night. What is it with American comedians and sucking? Out of 10 only 2 or 3 were actually funny, the rest died on the arses.

But the whole night was quite funny as there were two drunk americans watching at the front who were slightly more entertaining. And I'm learning my Arnie impressions too.

We got up well early for the England game. Kind of wish we hadn't now. There was free beer laid on for us all which was really cool, but tough as it was 7:30 am. But free beer is free beer and we were both 'Drunk before breakfast'. The game was alright, we defended very well, attacking, not so well, and Wayne kind of stuffed things up really. Penalties went as expected.

I have an idea about penalties. A week before the world cup starts, the whole team has an hours live coverage of them all taking penalties on Sky. Then the country can see that we actually can, and have had practice, then some of the pressure will be off of them when they get in that situation.

Last night was a free BBQ at another Hostel. That pretty much sucked as it took forever to get there, forever to get any food, and the food we got was half a chicken leg and a bit of pasta. Annoying because it wasted a whole evening we could have done something fun, but then it saved quite a bit of cash.

When we got back, 2 new guys had moved into our room, 2 kiwis. One, Adam, snores for his country. Not much sleep was had, and we are both pretty grumpy at the moment. But on the bright side we are off to Vegas this evening for 4 nights in a hotel. Sleep will be easy and plenty.
